Join the GMHS Band Boosters for a dinner fundraiser before the concert on Thursday, May 3rd from 5:00 pm - 6:30 in the GMHS Commons. Tickets will be available on April 19 from band students or from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dinner will be followed by the GMHS Band Concert and Senior Showcase (Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble) on Thursday, May 3, at 7:00 pm in the GMHS auditorium.
GMHS Performing Arts students (band and guard, choir, and orchestra) are Disneyland Bound (California). We are in the planning stages and have an informational meeting set up for Tuesday, April 24 in the GMHS choir room at 6:30 p.m. to determine who and how many are interested in going.
The trip will be March 29-April 1, 2019, so students would only miss one day of school and still be back in time to enjoy part of their spring break. There are opportunities to perform in one of the parks and/or participate in a workshop where students would sight-read, prepare and record a polished performance of special Disney music selections in a studio environment like a professional musician. More detailed information such as cost and a tentative itinerary will be available at the meeting on April 24.
